We explore the possibilities of up-cycling selvage—the fabric edges produced during the weaving process. These come from the only remaining name tag factory in the Netherlands. Inspired by the unique appeal of this material, we aim to repurpose it into new products and artworks that highlight its distinctive characteristics beautifully and sustainably.
This project will be exhibited at Dutch Design Week 2024!
October 19 – 28, 2024 at Piet Hein Eek Grand Café,
Come and check it out, touch, hug, and experience it for yourself!

The transformative Origami Textile presents a modern reinterpretation of Japanese traditional wrapping systems such as furoshiki. Featuring origami-like 3D shaping, this innovative textile allows you to transform flat planes into three-dimensional forms with your own hands. Beyond its conventional role as a wrapping cloth, its versatility extends to serving as lamp shade, vase cover, basket, and other interior objects.
